The children have learned house, roof, door, knock on the door, please come in, living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, garden, sofa, TV, bed, toilet, bathtub, stove, table, chair and flowers.

We finished studying and practicing the number 17, as well as learning about and making rainbows, learning that rain and sun make them, and and also putting into practice their knowledge of colors, along with the vocabulary clouds, rain and sun.

I've sent home Unit 3 from our Cheeky books. The students learned the vocabulary: tiger, elephant, crocodile, snake, lion, noisy versus quiet, the animal sounds and verbs: squawk, tweet, snap, run, hiss, stomp, and "be careful!" Have a great weekend and please practice English together!

Friday, January 4th

Dear Parents,

This week we started a new Cheeky unit about houses, their specific rooms and what goes in those specific rooms. We also learned and practiced the number 15 and 16. We have also been learning the days of the week and reading "The Hungry Caterpillar". This book is about a caterpillar and what he eats all week. Since we have studied food and the kids really enjoyed learning about it, I decided we should make our own laminated copies of caterpillars and food so that we can follow along with the book and also learn the days of the week better by having a fun activity that goes along with it. The kids have been having lots of fun with it. Here are some of the kids' caterpillars and food. I have added the links to the videos of the book being read and a days of the week song in case you want to watch them together at home. Those links are in the post of the songs and videos.

Here are they are too:

The kids love octopi, as you can see in these pictures:

Today we had a lot of fun making an octopus craft and they look really nice hung up in our room with the fish craft that Kamile did with them the other day.

If you want you can sing the "Slippery Fish" song with your child. You can find the link to that song in the list of songs post earlier in the blog. Or just type in "Slippery Fish" into youtube and it should be easy to find.

Have a great weekend, and please don't forget to practice English together! :)

December Board Game

Here is a board game that I made for you guys to play together at home. It will be printed out and sent home with your children. Feel free to play as you wish. A fun way to play could be by using dice and moving along each square and quizzing each other on what each picture is.
